Brookstone

Brookstone started out in 1965 as a mail-order business, and opened its first store in 1973 in the tiny hamlet of Peterborough, New Hampshire (the company is still based in Merrimack, New Hampshire). Since then it has opened numerous stores in discerning locations throughout the United States.

The Brookstone store at Chicago O'Hare International Airport gives shoppers and travelers a wide assortment of novel products to test and try before they make their purchase decision.

Brookstone's offerings are functional in purpose, distinctive in quality and design, and not widely available from other retailers. Brookstone's merchandise includes luggage, travel accessories, health and fitness items, and home and office products.

You may be familiar with Brookstone's competitors: The Sharper Image--now defunct, and Hammacher Schlemmer.
